Pathway Building
The Gen9 BioFab process allows for long, high fidelity, inexpensive constructs (GeneBytes Plus) enabling us to build pathways for our customers. The high throughput nature of our process also allows customers to combinatorially try multiple pathway modules in search of just the right profile.
As researchers use synthetic biology to produce high-value products at the efficiency needed for an industrial process, they are turning away from gene engineering and towards pathway engineering. At the level of the pathway, researchers can fine-tune the expression of key regulatory genes, enzymatic subunits, and proteins involved in secretion and folding.
Additionally, researchers can test multiple promoters and promoter variant combinations across contiguous genes. This will allow for full utilization of the high throughput and low-cost features of the BioFab process and provides a rapid path towards the expression optimization of high-quality products
